Join the Chaos Team – Experiential Creative Director

Position Title:  Experiential Creative Director
Position Availability: 1 Jan 2020

Role Description
We love great ideas. A lot! We are passionate about connecting brands with consumers in the real world, not on a billboard or pre-recorded in a nice radio spot.

Chaos Theory is an innovative broad level experiential marketing agency, providing services to agencies and direct to client on projects in South and Sub-Saharan Africa. We deliver approximately 200 projects a year across multiple disciplines including: Sponsorships and Sponsor leveraging, Events, Conferences, Exhibitions, Road-shows, Sampling activations etc.

And we are looking for a Creative Director. We want someone who gets what we do, and has never used the words “think outside the box” in their life…that train sailed when Egoli was still on M*N*E*T Open Time. (Google it, Generation Z)

Are you a conceptual creative mind that can craft brilliant practical activation ideas, create PR stunts from scratch on the back of a serviette and build events in your mind that work on the stage of real-life, real-world, right now!

Do you understand brand strategy, brands and branding. Phew!

Sound like you? Great! We want to meet you.

We have a hard-working yet quirky corporate culture and due to rapid expansion over the last 3 years we have lovingly crafted a role for a creative director to work alongside our strategy team in delivering world class ideas to our blue-chip clients across the continent.

You must be a team player, we mean that! We don’t do Ego’s very well.

Everyone from the MD down gets their hands dirty, so this is not the place to be if you prefer to fill out spreadsheets while doing your nails. (Guys included!)

If you have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in creating, crafting and conceptualising in the experiential marketing space we want to talk to you.

  • Skill Sets Required
      • Min 5 years’ relevant creative / conceptual experience in the events, or activations industry;
      • Proven track record of creating outstanding client events and activations from start to finish as part of a team;
      • Able to work within your team in a high pressure environment;
      • Proven understanding of practical, real-world challenges facing experiential marketing.
      • Excellent client management and interpersonal skills;
      • Attention to detail;
      • Time management and working to deadlines is essential;
      • Must be able to travel.
